WHERE THERE IS SMOKE, THERE IS FIRE.
The most urgent priority is for voters to see mail or hear and see digital/social media ads about City Council President Angel Fuentes, a career politician who has spent decades enabling corruption in Camden, and putting insider deals over residents.
Voters need to know in one mail piece:
For years, Fuentes has failed to hold EMR accountable while EMR has plagued the Waterfront South community with six industrial fires in nine years at it's Camden facility, polluting and wreaking havoc on the community. In February 2025, a massive five-alarm fire forced over 100 Camden residents to evacuate their homes.[1] [2] [2]
Over the years, Fuentes has taken campaign cash from EMR's Camden subsidiary Camden Metal and Iron, Inc five times. Under Fuentes’ leadership of the Camden City Democrats, the organization has used the cash to fund campaigns across the city.
When Fuentes was in the Assembly, he co-sponsored a bill that paved the way for a massive $132 million corporate tax giveaway to EMR.[4]
In a second priority, voters in these neighborhoods should see in the mail:
- In 2024, Fuentes voted to make Camden taxpayers foot the bill for more legal fees for corrupt officials, just as ex-Mayor Dana Redd faced charges in a state racketeering case brought by the NJ Attorney General.[5]
